Cookie Policy

A short list of what we store on your device, why, and how to switch it off.

Effective from: 3 August 2026 Applies to: thenumber.info

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between visits — like a search filter, or whether you've already seen a banner. Some are essential for the site to work, others are optional.

2. Cookies we use

Type	Purpose	Lasts
Essential	Keeps the site working — search filters, login sessions, cookie preference itself	Session or 12 months
Analytics	Shows us which pages and searches are used, so we can fix what's broken	Up to 26 months
Preferences	Remembers small choices, like your last searched town	Up to 12 months

We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Nothing here follows you around the rest of the web.

3. Your choices

Essential cookies can't be switched off — the site won't run without them. Analytics and preference cookies are entirely optional.

Manage cookie settings

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so may affect how well the search and listing pages work.

4. Changes to this policy

If the cookies we use change, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also prompt the cookie banner to reappear.
